The motto or watchword of the National Service Scheme is 'NOT ME BUT YOU' This expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other man's point of view and also show consideration for fellow human beings. It underlines that the welfare of an individual is ultimately deoendent on the welfare of society as a whole. Therefore, it should be the aim of NSS to demonstrate this motto in its day-to-day programme.
General Orientation and enrolment drive will be conducted at Polytechnic Campus at the beginning of the academic year, in the month of July and August. About 100 students will be enrolled every year. NSS advisory committee will be formed and meetings will be conducted to chalk out the programmes to be conducted for the current year. Regular activities of 6 hrs/week will be conducted.
Cleaning of weeds, dry leaves, removal of thorny bushes around the Polytechnic campus.
Blood donation camp will be held every year in association with Lion's club, where the volunteers participate in organizing the camp and also donate blood.
Vanamahotsava day will be celebrated , by planting new saplings around Polytechnic campus.
Every year special camp was conducting.
Community development programmes are conducted at the neighbouring villages to create awareness in Literacy, Computer skills, Vocational Training for villagers.
Dental chek-up camps will be conducted for villagers and students.
Creating awareness for villagers regarding rain water harvesting.
Eye pledging camps are conducted to create awareness in students.
